Hello, I'm Josh Grigg. I'm a Product Manager and UX Designer on the sunny Central Coast of Australia, where I help teams build products people actually want to use.
I believe great products start with understanding real user problems, not assumptions. My approach combines user-centred design principles with first principles thinking to get to the root of problems before jumping to solutions.
I work best in collaborative, cross-functional environments where product managers, designers, engineers, and stakeholders come together to solve complex problems. I translate business goals into clear product vision, prioritise backlogs based on value and impact, and ensure teams stay focused on what matters most. I conduct user research, facilitate workshops, and use data to validate decisions and measure outcomes.
What drives me is seeing measurable impact. Whether it's reducing job completion time by 50%, increasing user satisfaction, or decreasing support calls, I focus on outcomes that matter to both users and the business. I believe in shipping iteratively, learning fast, and always questioning our assumptions.
My background spans UX/UI design, front-end development, and product strategy, which helps me bridge the gap between what users need, what's technically feasible, and what makes business sense. I'm comfortable balancing competing priorities, making trade-offs transparent, and maintaining alignment between stakeholder expectations and team capacity. I believe in iterative shipping and the messy reality of building products in the real world.
Outside of work, I enjoy the craft of gemstone cutting and lapidary, growing my own food, and tinkering with personal projects that solve problems I encounter in daily life. I'm always learning, always curious, and always looking for better ways to make technology work for people.
